SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A 17-year-old girl was killed in a car collision over the weekend.
It happened yesterday at an intersection in Salt Lake City.
Police say the girl was driving west down the street when a northbound car driven by a 19-year-old man broadsided her at the intersection. Officers say she then rolled her vehicle at least once.
Police say the man admitted he was talking on his cell phone and looking for an address when he ran the red light.
Police say the girl was not wearing her seat belt. So far, authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
