SALT LAKE CITY — A new fire in Talmage, Duchesne County, forced evacuations for a few hours Thursday evening, officials said.
Another fire east of Milburn in Sanpete County sparked Wednesday night, joining three other new blazes and four older ones.
The West Valley Fire, Saul's Canyon Fire, Trail Mountain Fire and Dollar Ridge Fire are all more than 80 percent contained, according to Utah Fire Info's map.
The Cove Creek Fire, Chain Fire and Wood Canyon Fire (all in Millard County) began recently, and crews are still working to contain the blazes. Crews are still fighting a few other fires that cropped up in Duchesne County as well.
