DEMOLITION DENMARK — Look, I really don't have a lot to say here. Something gets blown up in this video and no one gets hurt. Do I really need to sell you any more than that?

I don't fully understand our insatiable appetites of watching things explode or implode, but it's there. From firecrackers to nuclear tests, we love to watch some fireballs. That's what this video from Denmark does for us. This silo was undergoing a roof demolition and crews rigged the structure with explosives to bring the roof crashing down. The video is only 30 seconds long, but it's 30 satisfying seconds.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

Watching the exactness of the explosives and how it perfectly cuts out the roof is incredible when you think about the planning and precision that went behind this demolition. This is a perfect example of why we shouldn't just go out with a gas can and some matches to take care of that old rusty shed in our backyards. When dealing with explosives, it is an exact science and the fact that this was done without hurting anyone or disturbing surrounding structures is truly amazing to me.

It's also a bit upsetting because I don't remember seeing, "explosives expert" as a major offered at my college. If it had been, I would have seriously considered it.
