Community joins in to make baseball a blast

Deanne L.

"What a thrill to watch my 5-year-old special-needs grandson play baseball at the Miracle League Baseball Field in West Jordan on Saturday. I didn't even know there was such a place before that. I don't know the history behind this project yet, but I am thankful to anyone and everyone who made this field possible to make dreams come true. Shoutout for those who made Saturday such a delight, from the Rotary Club for furnishing a hot dog lunch to the amazing announcer who was perfect for the job! And to the kids and umpire!"

Big sister saves the day

Amber B.

"My 8-year-old, Danica, officially became my hero. While I was vacuuming in the living room, she was playing with her 2-year-old brother, Ezra, around me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Ezra sort of double over. Before I can even process what I am seeing, Danica sticks her fingers in Ezra's mouth and fishes out a small foam ball he had been choking on. Thanks to her quick reactions, all is well!"
