WEST JORDAN — Nearly 10,000 people were without power on Thursday evening due to separate substation issues in West Jordan and West Haven.
About 4,200 people were powerless in West Jordan as of 5:30 p.m., according to Rocky Mountain Power’s website. That outage was affecting people in zip codes 84044, 84118, 84084, 84074, 84088, 84081.
The power was back on for all customers in West Jordan by 7 p.m., according to the RMP website.
Another 5,700 people were without power in West Haven as of 4 p.m. People in zip codes 84401, 84067, 84315, 84404, 84015 were being affected.
By 7 p.m., about 1,100 people were still without power in West Haven due to a utility pole fire. Rocky Mountain Power officials were estimating that power would be restored in West Haven by 9:30 p.m., according to the company’s website.
Several hundred other households were without power across northern Utah on Thursday evening due to other scattered power outages.
