THE BACKYARD — With the notable exception of "Mission: Impossible II," nearly everything looks cooler in slow motion.

Watching a sports highlight is always more impressive in slow-mo. Watching a figure skater complete a difficult jump is awe-inspiring when seen in slow motion. Something else that's great in slow-mo? This guy jumping into a whole lot of snow.

This guy from Scotland has a tiny trampoline that I can only assume is for kids or small dogs who like to bounce. And one day he found it buried in snow. Like any male human being who only thinks things through to the point of, "Man, this is going to look so cool," he decided to belly flop onto the tramp in shorts and a T-shirt.

While this guy is no doubt cold and may be laid up in bed with a fever, none of that matters because his initial thought was, in fact, true. It did look cool. And thankfully for all of us, he had the good sense to shoot it in slow motion.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

While those of us living in northern Utah prepare for a snowstorm this weekend, maybe take this afternoon to set up your trampoline in your yard in preparation to make a monumentally bad decision that's going to look awesome. Luckily I am absurdly lazy and my tramp is still up, so I'll be seeing you this weekend — cold, wet and happy.
