PARK CITY — Several Park City schools were on lockout Wednesday morning as police pursued a man in the area who had a warrant out for his arrest.

Park City High School, McPolin Elementary School, Treasure Mountain Junior High and the Park City School District offices were on lockout about 11:30 a.m. as police chased "an individual on foot," according to a tweet from school district officials.

The lockout was lifted approximately a half hour later about noon.

Police took two individuals into custody after receiving a tip Wednesday morning that three people were trying to cash fraudulent checks at a local bank, according to Park City police Capt. Phil Kirk.

Authorities are still searching for the third individual who fled on foot. He is not considered armed or dangerous, Kirk said. The schools were placed on lockout as a precaution while police searched the area.
