PARK CITY — Celebrities, filmmakers and movie buffs began flooding one of Utah's most picturesque mountain towns as the Sundance Film Festival got underway Jan. 18.
The festival, which continues until Jan. 28, is known as the largest independent film festival in the United States. This year, 110 films from 29 different countries were selected for the festival and will be screened at theaters throughout Park City, Salt Lake City and the Sundance Resort near Provo.
One of Utah’s own celebrities made an appearance Tuesday for the premiere of the film “Damsel.” Miniature horse Daisy, who used to be a part of Therapy Animals of Utah, appears in the film as a character named Butterscotch. Daisy worked with "Harry Potter" and "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson in the film.
