CHERRY CREEK RESERVOIR, Juab County — A vehicle that was located last week was likely dropped off in the location it was found and foul play [in the case of two missing teens](<https://www.ksl.com/?sid=46230771&nid=148&title=search-party-looking-for-2-teens-who-disappeared-en-route-to-juab-county target=_blank>) is “strongly suggested,” authorities said Tuesday.

A blue Jeep Cherokee that Riley Powell, 18, and Breezy Otteson, 17, were in was found by investigators on Thursday. The two teens were last seen on Dec. 30 planning to stop in Spanish Fork before going home to Eureka, where both teens live with Powell's grandfather.

Juab Sheriff’s County Sheriff Douglas Anderson said Tuesday circumstances surrounding the recovery of the vehicle, including its condition and placement, are "highly suspicious." He added the vehicle recovery and other evidence “have led investigators to believe that the Jeep was dropped off there by intention and not by the two missing individuals.”

A search and rescue effort for the teens was also suspended, authorities said. But the missing persons investigation "remains active and still ongoing, and investigators are still working hard to locate Riley and Breezy," Anderson said in an emailed statement.

A [$5,000 reward is being offered](<https://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=46233948 target=_blank>) to anyone who can help bring Otteson and Powell home safe, the families of the two also announced last week.
