TAYLORSVILLE — Police are looking for a black Ford Mustang in connection with a shooting that killed a 30-year-old man Sunday morning.

Unified police tweeted Sunday evening that they're looking for a 1980s black Ford Mustang convertible. The car has red stripes going down the sides, paint flaking off with primer showing through, low-profile tires and gold rims.

They are also looking for two men and a woman.

Police received a call of a shooting at 4341 S. Riverboat Road shortly after 10:10 a.m.

According to an emailed statement from Unified police detective Jared Richardson, the woman knocked on the door of a ground floor apartment while the two men waited around the corner. Once the apartment door was open, the two men forced their way inside. The woman did not go inside the apartment, Richardson said.

The shooting took place inside the apartment, according to Richardson. There were three other adults in the apartment during the shooting.

After the shooting, the woman and the two men all ran east, away from the apartment.

Police did not immediately identify the man who died.

Police are looking for at least three people in connection with the shooting. One is a short Hispanic man, about 30 years old, wearing a black shirt and black construction-style jeans.

Police also were searching for a tall black man, about 40 years old, wearing similar clothes, and a woman wearing a black and red hoodie with light-colored pants.

On Sunday afternoon, police released a photo of the woman and asked for the public's help in identifying her.
