TONY STARK'S PLACE — The first trailer for "Avengers: Infinity War" is here and gives us our first glimpse at the world's mightiest heroes taking on Thanos and his army.
The new film shows off the Avengers we've seen in eariler team-up films like Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk, but we also have some new member of the team with Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and the Guardians of the Galaxy. It's fun to see all of these characters together as Marvel gears up for its biggest team-up film to date, but we'll have to wait until May to see them in action.
It should be made known that this trailer contains spoilers for "Thor: Ragnarok," so if you have yet to see that film, I'd suggest heading to the theater before you check out this trailer.
Spoilers ahead: Last chance if you'd like to avoid "Thor: Ragnarok" spoilers.
At the end of the third Thor film, Asgard has been destroyed and the inhabitants are aboard a ship with their new king, Thor, and his brother Loki as they look for a new home. The ship is then cut off by a giant spaceship with unknown occupants. According to this trailer, it would appear that ship is not friendly and the Asgardian ship is left in ruins with some casualties, one of which may be Loki.
In the trailer, we also get to see Spider-Man in his new suit, the Hulkbuster Iron Man suit and Thanos in all his CGI glory.
It would appear that the Avengers have put their differences aside since "Captain America: Civil War" in order to take on this new threat, considering Steve Rogers shows up in the trailer looking for a new shield.
I'm still not sure what I think about the trailer considering it intrigues me less than recent Marvel offerings like "Doctor Strange," "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Thor: Ragnarok" and even "Captain America: Civil War." Maybe it's the bad taste I still have in my mouth from "Avengers: Age of Ultron," but something seemed to be missing in this trailer for "Infinity War."
Let's hear your thoughts on the new trailer in the comment boards.
"Avengers: Infinity War" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
