REXBURG, Idaho — A Florida man was arrested on a felony battery charge after he allegedly got into a fight with a man over shrimp.
Robert Craven, 41, was staying at Motel 6 on 12th West in Rexburg, Idaho with colleagues when the altercation occurred Nov. 25 around 10:30 p.m.
“The argument started over dinner. The victim said Craven got upset with him for taking too many shrimp,” Rexburg Police Capt. Randy Lewis told EastIdahoNews.com. “They went out to the parking lot and the fight progressed.”
Craven is accused of pushing, hitting and punching the victim several times. At one point, the victim told police he “saw Tweety birds” after being hit in the head, according to Lewis.
The victim, who is also from Florida, went to Madison Memorial Hospital, and Lewis says doctors needed to use several staples on his head. A Rexburg Police Officer working in the hospital began a criminal investigation.
Craven was booked into the Madison County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
