WEST JORDAN — Police are searching for two persons of interest after finding a man dead in the middle of a West Jordan street early Wednesday morning, according to West Jordan Police Det. J.C. Holt.

Jesus Molina, 23, and Breaaunah Huff, 22, are believed to have pertinent information about the death of Dan Zuniga-Guzman, who was found dead near 6700 S. 4800 West around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Molina is 5 feet 6 inches and approximately 195 pounds. He is believed to be driving a maroon-colored 2005 Nissan Altima with Utah license plate X153T. Huff is 5 feet 4 inches and about 170 pounds.

Police responded to reports of two cars causing a disturbance Wednesday morning, according to Holt. While some witnesses believed it to be a crash, police found the victim facedown and dead in the middle of the street when they arrived.

"It looks (like) he was dumped there, left behind by a vehicle, and was possibly killed in another location or said vehicle," Holt said.

Zuniga-Guzman's injuries were not consistent with a car crash, though investigators would not disclose what injuries he had suffered. The victim lived close to where he was found.

Zuniga-Guzman had a warrant out for his arrest at the time of his death for failing to attend a scheduled court appearance, according to court records. He was charged with assault by a prisoner, a third-degree felony, and two other misdemeanors for allegedly kicking and spitting on police who attempted to draw blood from him during a suspected DUI stop, the charges state.

Those with any information regarding the incident, Molina or Huff are urged to call the West Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000.
