SALT LAKE CITY — Following its 37-16 victory over North Dakota Thursday, Utah enters Week 2 nationally ranked.

Utah will enter its matchup Saturday against BYU ranked No. 23 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll, moving up two spots from its position in the preseason poll. Despite being ranked in the Coaches Poll, Utah is not ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll; however, Utah is receiving votes and would be considered No. 26.

Tuesday’s ranking marks the fourth consecutive season the Utes have been nationally ranked.

Four other teams from the Pac-12 were ranked in both the AP and coaches poll. USC (5/6) remains the highest-ranked team from the Pac-12 but has dropped in both polls after a rocky start to its season. Behind the Trojans are Washington (6/7), Stanford (14/14) and Washington State (20/22).

Other teams from the Pac-12 receiving votes in the AP Poll include UCLA, Colorado, Oregon and California. Arizona received three votes in the coaches poll.

Alabama remains the No. 1 overall team in both polls after their win over then-No. 3 Florida State Saturday. Behind the Crimson Tide are Ohio State (2/2), Clemson (3/3), Penn State (4/4) and Oklahoma (5/6). This weekend, four games feature opponents that are both ranked, including No. 2 Ohio State against No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 3 Clemson against No. 13 Auburn, No. 6 USC against No. 14 Stanford and No. 15 Georgia against No. 24 Notre Dame.
