BLUFFDALE — A 12-year-old girl was hospitalized Saturday after a trailer ran over her during the Old West Days Parade in Bluffdale, police say.
The girl was dancing with a group accompanied by a truck and a trailer in the parade, said Saratoga Springs Police Cpl. Jason Ruch. She tried to jump over the hitch of the truck to get to the other side, but tripped, fell to the ground and was run over by the trailer.
The girl suffered a broken bone in her hand and road rash. She was transported to the hospital but was "doing OK," Ruch said.
