WEST BOUNTIFUL — Authorities have suspended the search for a West Bountiful man who went missing last week.
West Bountiful Police Chief Todd Hixson said the search for John Page was called off Sunday night.
Page’s family posted on Facebook late Sunday night thanking those who have searched for Page.
“We believe that he is where he wants to be! He was a cowboy at heart and loved the mountains. We know that he is in a much better place but believe that he is at peace out there on that mountain!” the family wrote in the post.
Johnson said it was possible Page stopped the car to go hike in the mountains. Search and rescue teams from Tooele, Box Elder, Davis and Utah counties helped search for Page.
While the search for Page has been suspended, police still encourage anyone with information about the man to call the West Bountiful Police Department at 801-298-6000.
