SOUTH SALT LAKE — A 42-year-old woman who was shot in the leg and torso Sunday afternoon at a house in South Salt Lake is expected to recover, police said Monday.

The woman's "condition has improved" and the hospital expected to discharge her late Monday, said South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller.

The shooting at 390 E. 2700 South is still under investigation, but Keller said it appears it was an "isolated incident."

No other details, including the woman's name, were released on Monday.
