EAGLE MOUNTAIN — We're at The Ranches in Eagle Mountain, where this Saturday is the Eagle Mountain City Amateur. J.T. Timmons is your defending champ shooting a one under 71 last year.

Timmons made it to the second round of match play in the Utah State Amateur before being eliminated on Thursday.  They started with 288 players on Monday at Ogden Golf & Country Club, and it came down to the final two on Saturday for the for the state am trophy.

In this week’s Uinta Golf Tip OF The Week: how to hit a hybrid out of the rough. Here's Thanksgiving Point Director Of Golf Mark Whetzel with some help.

This one is "I buy it, I try it,” our final test for the Skillz all-in-one swing trainer is myself. My problem is I slide my hips instead of turning, which causes all kinds of problems with my swing. After a couple of weeks working with the swing trainer, let's head back to Golf The Round to see if it works.
