OGDEN — One man was hospitalized after a car accident Sunday, which was possibly caused by health problems, according to police.

Lt. Will Cragun, a spokesman for the Ogden Police Department, said that police received a call about a driver who was having trouble staying in his lane around 11:30 a.m. Later, the car went off the road and crashed into a UTA bus shelter at 31st Street and Washington Boulevard.

When officers arrived on the scene, Cragun said they found a 64-year-old man who they believe had either experienced a heart attack or a stroke. He was uninjured from the crash, but was transported to a local hospital for his health, according to Cragun.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Police have not released the identity of the man. More information will be posted as it becomes available. Freeman Stevenson is a web producer at KSL.com
