LAS VEGAS — The Consumer Electronics Show draws tech enthusiasts and innovators from across the world each year to showcase the newest and neatest tech products — and CES’s 50th anniversary in Las Vegas was no different.

As the birthplace of Silicon Slopes, Utah is never underrepresented at CES and this year a total of 36 Utah companies went to show off their products.

From Vivint’s two-story smart home to Crazybaby’s levitating speaker, here are some of Utah’s highlights from CES:

Brydge ======:

Based in Park City, Brydge has set the benchmark for tablet keyboards at CES in years previous.

This year, Brydge unveiled its first keyboard for the Microsoft Surface, the Brydge 12.3, which “brings a laptop-like experience to the Microsoft Surface, while allowing it to retain its versatility as a tablet.”

Each year, CES awards certain products Innovation Awards and names others as honorees. This year, Brydge was named a CES Innovation Awards honoree after having won a CES Innovation award in 2016.

Vivint ======:

Provo-based Vivint built a two-story smart home for its display this year at CES after making some major announcements and changes.

Vivint introduced its new smart home assistant, Sky, which “can automatically manage all of the connected devices in a home, providing intelligent recommendations and taking action to streamline the home experience,” Vivint spokesman Abram Jones said.

Vivint Smart Home and Vivint Solar have also combined to offer a way to intelligently manage both the generation and consumption of energy in homes. Vivint also partnered with Airbnb to offer Airbnb hosts and guests smart home features that can aid in the process of renting out a home.

Tym ===:

Tym, pronounced “time,” is a Utah company based in Sandy that specializes in home entertainment and smart home design and installation.

This year, Tym received two TechHome Mark of Excellence awards presented by the Consumer Technology Association at CES. The awards recognized Tym’s design and installation of custom high-end smart home and home theater systems in Utah.

Tym received the “Custom Home of the Year” award and the “Home Theater/Media Room Project of the Year” award.

Crazybaby =========:

While headquartered in China, Crazybaby’s North American distribution center is located in Kaysville.

Crazybaby offers a wide range of audio products, but arguably one of the coolest is the levitating speaker.

Thanks to magnetic-levitation technology, Crazybaby’s speaker will levitate off the subwoofer it charges on to give the listener a no-strings-attached kind of listening experience.
