SOUTH OGDEN — Police weren't revealing addition details Saturday about a shooting Friday night that left two men dead in a house and sent a third man to the hospital.
"Public safety is not at risk at this point, I can tell you that," said South Ogden Police Sgt. Wil DeHart.
DeHart confirmed earlier that two were killed in what police are calling a double homicide, and a third person was injured following the shooting in the area of 3600 South and Adams Avenue. Officers were sent the home shortly before 8 p.m.
DeHart would not describe the situation that led to the shooting but called it "disgusting."
"I wish we could find a way to solve it. I mean, the whole problem, not just this particular case, but the whole thing in society. It’s just a mess," he said.
Police have not released the names or ages of the victims. The injured man was seriously injured and transported to a hospital, according to police.
Crime scene technicians were at the house late Friday and police continued to investigate at the scene Saturday. The homicide task force assisted in that effort.
