SALT LAKE CITY — High school football Friday was moved to Wednesday for the final week of the regular season because of the UEA weekend.

And there were a lot of big games on the dock, especially in Region 2.

Six teams entered the night tied at 3-2 for the top spot in the region, and they all played each other.

Here's how the results shook out. As always, click the video above to view all the highlights.

Davis 31, Layton 30 — At Layton, Riley Smith ran in a 6-yard touchdown in overtime to help the Darts (7-3, 4-2) clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Lancers.

Tayler Katoa scored on a 1-yard run for Layton (6-3, 3-3), which went for two and missed the conversion to take the loss.

Syracuse 17, Hunter 0 — At Hunter, Ty Metcalfe hit Anthony Vincent for a 36-yard TD strike on the opening drive to give the Titans (6-3, 4-2) all the scoring they would need to blank the Wolverines (4-6, 3-3).

Garrett Burke added an interception in the fourth quarter while Syracuse led 10-0.

Viewmont 28, Granger 25 — At Granger, Davis Weir found Markus Rawlings for a touchdown to rally the Vikings (6-4, 4-2) from a 17-14 fourth-quarter deficit and hold on for the win.

Amara Tavai had a 41-yard TD run for Granger (6-4, 3-3).

Lone Peak 10, Herriman 3 — At Lone Peak, Cortland Niccum threw the only touchdown of the game to Tyler McPherson after Thomas Bateman forced a fumble, and the Knights (8-1, 5-0 Region 4) held on to beat the Mustangs (5-3, 3-2) in a rematch of last year’s 5A state title game.

Corner Canyon 48, Alta 42 — Jason Adams scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter to cap a 21-0 run and help the Chargers hand the Hawks their first loss of the year.

Josh Davis ran for an 80-yard touchdown for Alta, which built up a 42-17 lead.
