SALT LAKE CITY — Most girls would love the chance to spend a day getting pampered at a salon. Megan is no exception. This 16-year-old deserves the chance to relax.

"It's hard making friends, and school," Megan said. School and making friends are two things that don't come easy for Megan.

"Because I've never had any friends," she said.

She's never really had a chance to because in her life nothing is permanent. Megan's been adopted before.

"They adopted me and my sister, and then they didn't want us so we went into foster care," she said.

Her sister has since been adopted, but Megan is still in state custody. Every day she wonders why.

"I just feel like nobody wants me," she said. She admits she's given up hope. "I've been up for adoption for a while and nothing has happened," she said.

When you're 16-years-old you should be thinking about getting your driver's license or going to prom. Megan is thinking about just one thing.

"Having a family just to call family," she said.

Last Wednesday, Megan got the chance to get pampered and to relax. "I feel really good and like I can be myself today,"

That's a feeling Megan deserves every single day. "I just really want a family," she said.
