SPANISH FORK — If you're browsing Google reviews for hotels for your next trip to Utah, chances are the Utah County Jail might have higher ratings.

Here are some of the gems KSL.com found from the many reviews posted.

“Regardless of people making mistakes in their life, these cops treat us like people with respect & courtesy. Instead of me feeling scared or sad, these cops made me feel comfortable & protected.” — Baryron C.

Multiple commenters mentioned the funny and lighthearted officers they came in contact with during their time at the jail.

“Upon bailing a friend out, I came across a polite and funny staff. You can tell they really enjoy their jobs and just want to help any way they can.” — Chelsey A.

“Came in to pick up my Grandpa with my mom. I know sounds classy. But the deputies on shift are extremely nice and super funny. They helped us quickly and we were out within a few hours. Best jail ever! Hopefully I never need to be here again. Some good lookers here too as a plus!” — Nyssa D.

Some of the other commenters’ remarks about the jail were a little more unexpected.

“The guards grow the best mustaches I've ever seen. I can't complain about the food or beds.” — Katherine H.

“Loved it. The food was good and I enjoyed watching TV and getting lots of free stuff. The other inmates were really nice and fun to play cards with. I will not even post bail because this place is so great!!!” — Oliver A.

Although many of the comments were on the quirky side, many of them were genuinely written with gratitude.

“If you're going to be stupid and end up in jail, this is the place to go. Not what I was expecting for my first (and planning to be the last) time in jail at all. The sheriff treated me with kindness and explained what was going on. The deputy sheriff's greeted me when I came in. By the end, I wasn't terrified, I was just sorry for making my mistake and ready to leave. Everyone made me feel like a human being more than just a mistake. They too are just humans doing their job to make our county a better place and I'm grateful for them.” — Breeana C.

We highly discourage people from breaking the law, but if you do, hopefully you get to experience the lovely Utah County Jail.
