ROCK CANYON — A 28-year-old man died Monday after he fell 70 feet while rock rappelling at Red Slab in Rock Canyon, officials said.
Police identified the man as Christopher Stockman. Stockman's friends said he made a mistake in rappelling, and that's when he fell. They attempted to rescue him, but he died at the scene due to significant head trauma, according to the Provo Police Department.
