LAS VEGAS — The opening day of the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas saw plenty of action from former local college standouts.

Here’s a roundup, in case you missed it.

Toronto 88, Sacramento 47 — At Cox Pavillion, former Utah teammates Delon Wright and Jakob Poeltl started for the Raptors in a rout of the Kings.

Poeltl finished with six points, nine rebounds and three blocked shots to finish with a plus-39 rating for Toronto (1-0), while Wright added four points, six assists and five rebounds for the Raptors, who were led by Nick Powell’s 13 points in a balanced scoring effort that saw four players score in double figures.

Former Weber State guard Davion Berry played sparingly in his Las Vegas Summer League opener, finishing with two points on 1-of-1 shooting with one assist and one rebound in 6:44 for the Raptors.

The Kings scored the fewest points in an NBA Summer League game since the Chinese national team in 2007.

Denver 88, Minnesota 82 — At the Thomas & Mack Center, former BYU guard Jimmer Fredette had four points on 2-of-7 shooting off the bench in his 2016 summer league debut as the Nuggets scored 21 points in the fourth quarter in a win over the Timberwolves.

Fredette also had six assists to finish with a game-high plus-12 in just under 17 minutes of play for Denver (1-0). He also had two points that didn’t count after suffering a fourth-quarter foul:

Emmanuel Mudiay paced the Nuggets with 23 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Minnesota first-round draft pick Kris Dunn had 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting to lead all scorers.

Orlando Summer League

Orlando 87, Detroit 84 — At Amway Center, former BYU post Brandon Davies had seven points and five rebounds off the bench for the Pistons in a loss to the Magic’s white team.

Davies played 17 minutes for the Pistons, making 3-of-4 shots from the field and ending with a plus-minus score of minus-3. Henry Ellenson led Detroit (4-1) with 22 points and 11 rebounds.
