KAYSVILLE — Here’s a special message to the women who kissed the “boo-boos,” tucked us in at night and sang us to sleep.
To the women who let us spoil our dinner, taught us how to face our fears and where to find courage. The women one who let us stay up late, help us discover our self-worth and how to stick up for ourselves. To the women who told the best stories, gave us a shoulder to cry on and taught us how to forgive and love.
To those women who gave us life, took us in, loved us and supported us, we thank you. No amount of flowers and spa days can make up for the countless hours spent cleaning, cooking, helping with school projects and being a cheerleader at all the games.
Since the early 1900s mothers have been celebrated in more than 40 countries around the world. A time honored tradition to recognize the importance of having a maternal presence in life. Regardless of a biological connection or not, these women offer their time, their advice and most of all, their love to let us know just how important we are.
The world truly is a better place when we all have a soft spot to land. To all the motherly figures around the world, thank you and Happy Mother’s Day.
