SUMMIT COUNTY — A semitruck crashed, causing several lane closures on I-80 near Echo Junction in Summit County Friday night.
The semitruck became fully engulfed by fire after it rolled, according to the North Summit Fire District. All occupants were able to get out of the semitruck and were being treated by emergency personnel.
The Summit County Health Department was also responding after about 100 gallons of an oil and diesel mix may have gone into the Weber River.
The crash caused all lanes going westbound on I-80 to close and traffic was detoured onto I-84. One lane going eastbound remained open.
Police are still investigating as to what caused the crash.
