PRICE — After pulling over a vehicle for a minor moving violation, police arrested both female occupants Friday.

Officer Drew Olson with the Price Police Department confronted the women, who each gave him false information regarding their identity, and he passenger attempted to hide her face from Olson, Price police said.

Olson identified the passenger as 32-year-old Price resident Sasha Kay Fowler, who was known to have outstanding warrants for her arrest. Officials arrested Fowler, who was booked into the Carbon County Jail in connection with three warrants and for false personal information to police, according to Price police.

Fowler has previously been arrested eight times in connection with drug, theft and false identity crimes.

Another officer recognized the driver of the vehicle as Chelsie Belle Sitterud, 25. Sitterud is on parole, and police said she is a fugitive from Adult Probation and Parole, as she fled a halfway house in Salt Lake City.

Police issued National Crime Information Center warrants for her arrest and took her into custody.

Officials searched the car and found a backpack allegedly filled with Sitterud's belongings and a locked safe filled with multiple Ziplock baggies typically used for drug distribution, a digital scale, prescription pills and almost 11 grams of meth. Sitterud denied owning the safe.

Police found Sitterud to have a switchblade knife along with more than $400 in cash and several debit and credit cards with other people's names on them. Police said she is restricted from possessing a dangerous weapon.

Police gave Sitterud a warning for the traffic violation and for driving on a denied license, then arrested her and booked her into jail in connection with her outstanding warrants. She was also arrested in connection with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, a first degree felony, possession of marijuana, which she acknowledged having and was located in her bra, possession of a controlled substance, a third degree felony, and false personal information to a police officer, a misdemeanor.

Sitterud has previously been arrested nine times in connection with forgery, fraud, burglary, retail theft, drug and previous parole violations.

The Carbon County Attorney's Office will review the police report and decide formal charges.
