SANDY — This weekend, alternative fuel vehicles, ultra-high-end exotic cars, family cars, vintage wheels and more are on display at the South Towne Expo Center as part of the Utah International Auto Expo.

The new model vehicles will be available for visitors to compare and inspect, and some will be test-drive ready, according to the Utah International Auto Expo.

"We're living in the golden age of cars," Motor Trend associate editor Scott Evans said in a statement. "We simultaneously have cars capable of more than 50 mpg, like the Prius, and cars with more than 700-hp, like the Dodge Charger Hellcat. There's something for everyone."

The auto expo runs Friday until 10 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors ages 62 and older, military members with any Department of Defense identification card and kids ages 7 to 12. Advance sale discount tickets for adults ages 13 and older are available online.

Sunday and Monday are considered family days, so kids 12 years old and younger are free as long as they are with an adult. Parents and kids can participate in "a day of four-wheeled family fun at the auto expo," according to the Utah International Auto Expo.
