More hunting with the kids in a moment, but first, fall fishing is here! Let's head over to the guys at

Alright you guys that like to fish for them wipers on top water. It's a dang hoot. It's that time of the year. Hi, I'm Dan Smith from Fish Tech Outfitters. One thing I'd get is some poppers. PopR or get a chug bug. The other thing would be walking baits, these are a hoot. The other thing I'd get is some crosslock snaps. The reason why I use a cross lock snap is because a lot of the top water lures do not come with this split ring. If you do not have some way of letting that bait work, it's not going to work correctly when you are trying to walk the dog. So I use a cross lock snap. I put it in the base. Snap it shut and this one crosses over so it won't come undon. So now, you've got a pivot point on the front of the bait. It makes it walk better. Use heavy line. Light line will sink. Heavier line will float, it's buoyant. So what you want to do is use a heavier line like 17-20 pound mono. If the line sinks, it's going to pull the nose of that bait down and it's not going to walk right. If you have any questions on how to catch those fun, fun wipers, come on down to Fish Tech and we'll help you out.
