HURRICANE — One person died when a semitruck traveling on SR-59 fell 200 feet down into a ravine, police said.
It is unclear when the accident occurred, or how long the truck and body have been in the ravine, according to the Hurricane Police Department. Investigators responded to the area Thursday after dispatch received a call just before 11 a.m.
The driver of the semitruck was last heard from on Saturday, according to police. They did not say where the driver was when he made his last report, but indicated that he was on his way out of the area.
