WEST VALLEY CITY — Police arrested one of the Metro Gang Unit's top 10 fugitives Wednesday after finding the man in the trunk of a car in West Valley City.
Unified Police Department Lt. Lex Bell said police and the U.S. Marshals were working off a tip that Rubel Gregory Quintana, 24, would be traveling in West Valley City in his brother's car.
When they conducted a traffic stop on the car around 3:30 p.m., police found Quintana in the trunk, Bell said.
Quintana, who goes by Rebel, is wanted on multiple felony warrants for attempted murder, felony discharge of a firearm and robbery.
"He is one of the most active members of the street right now of the East Side Raskals," Bell said.

The East Side Raskals are a mid-level faction of the homegrown Salt Lake City gang known as QVO, according to Bell.
The driver of the car, Quintana's brother, Joseph Quintana, 23, was arrested for obstruction of justice.
A female passenger in the car, Nicole Renteria, 26, was arrested for possession of heroin.
Rubel Quintana was convicted in 2011 of felony aggravated assault.
In 2013, he was charged with two counts of attempted murder and felony discharge of a gun.
In May, he was charged with with felony aggravated robbery in Salt Lake City.
"Someone who's constantly armed, who has in the past shot at people... and involved in robberies and fleeing from police is someone that we are really happy to have off the streets," Bell said. Email: dchen@deseretnews.com Twitter: DaphneChen_
