SALT LAKE CITY — Three people were hospitalized Monday after police say a gang fight broke out near a Salt Lake home.
Of the three injured, at least one person was left in serious condition after suspected gang members confronted each other in a yard near 500 North and 100 West with blunt weapons, including crow bars and baseball bats, according to police.
Salt Lake police detective Richard Chipping said the fight started after a group arrived outside of the house in a brown or black Jeep Cherokee. The group and their vehicle were still at large late Monday.
The detective said the fight is related to previous incidents and arguments between the gang members.
“In relation to this specific group and quarreling between them, I do understand that there is some history with them,” Chipping said.
