OGDEN- The Weber State Wildcats are in uncharted waters at the moment.

As of today, the Wildcats would miss the conference tournament, as they sit with a conference record of 5-7 after a loss to in-state rival Southern Utah Thursday.

Now, the Wildcats will have to complete the stretch run of the season without their leading scorer.

Wildcats guard Jeremy Senglin, the defending Big Sky Newcomer of the Year, will miss the next four weeks with a broken jaw, which he suffered late in the loss to the Thunderbirds.

"I couldn't feel worse for Jeremy," said Weber coach Randy Rahe.

In a press release from the institution's sports information department, Wildcats coach Randy Rahe said the loss of Senglin is both saddening and disappointing.

"I couldn't feel worse for Jeremy," Rahe said. "He's an extremely tough and competitive player and I know how hard it is for him to not be able to play and help his team. Our main concern is to get him healthy. He will bounce back from this and has a very bright future with us."

When asked about Senglin's availability after the game Thursday, Rahe said it was too early to speculate.

The Wildcats host Northern Arizona Saturday at the Dee Event Center in Ogden.
