SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store while wearing pantyhose over his head.
Lt. Cody Cameron of the Salt Lake City Police Department said a man armed with a black handgun, possibly a 9mm, entered the 7-Eleven at 1353 W. Indiana Ave (850 South) and demanded money from the clerk.
Cameron said the clerk did everything right by handing it over.
"He had a gun. It was real, and that's dangerous. You try to fight him and you could get shot," he said.
Police are reviewing surveillance from the store for details.
The robber is described as a man in his 30s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a sweatshirt, grey knit gloves and Nike shoes with a bright swish on them.
