ROY -- While some industries are struggling, one kind of business is seeing incredible growth. Some trampoline park owners say business is so good it's caught even them by surprise.
Get Air Sports in Roy has been open only a few months. In that short time, owner Val Iverson says he's already broken even.
"I knew it would be good. I didn't know it would be that good," he said.
Iverson owns two trampoline-related companies: Get Air Sports and Trampoline Parks, LLC. He says he opened the park in Roy as a way to do research into the industry, but business exploded.

"Get Air [Sports] increased 66 percent from one month to the second month." He added, "In addition to the trampolines, you will also have, what we call the ‘party rooms.' Saturdays and Friday nights are big party [times] and we're actually booked most Saturdays from 10 in the morning until 10 at night."
He says there are a few reasons why business is up. One, it's just a lot of fun. Two, skiers, snowboarders and other extreme athletes like to train and practice their stunts there.
"A lot of the parks will have what we call ‘pit trampolines' where you can land in soft pits and practice a stunt," Iverson explained.
The park also has TVs linked to a camera set on a 15 second delay, so the person training can do their stunt and then watch themselves to see where they need to improve.
Business is up in other areas, too. Trampoline Parks LLC has begun installing trampoline parks in seven other states.
"We're putting parks in California, Texas, Florida, New York, Idaho, Arizona and Washington, and that's literally within the last six months," Iverson said.
