University of Utah and other scientists are studying this winter persistent cold-air pools often associated with episodes of poor air-quality. Photos that show low-lying clouds and/or the haze associated with these periods in the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas are greatly appreciated.
Photos taken from above the haze/cloud layers, which are often best observed from the benches or nearby mountains are of greatest interest. Unusual ice/frost forming on trees and near-ground objects during these events are also useful.
Be sure to include when (date and time) and where (including camera direction) that the photo was taken.
