SALT LAKE CITY — Week 6 of the NFL season was a slow one for locals. Between injuries and bye weeks, there wasn’t a lot of production. But there were still some performances worth noting.

Alex Smith (Utah)

Smith was able to help the Washington Redskins get back on track this week with a 23-17 win over the Panthers. He sported a 58.3 completion percentage on 21-of-36 passing, which amounted to 163 yards and two touchdowns. He helped his team out by not throwing any interceptions as well. He also had an additional 13 rushing yards.

Nick Vigil (Utah State)

Vigil started off strong for the Cincinnati Bengals with two tackles early in the first quarter. He was looking to stay near the top of the league in tackles per game, but was unfortunately injured in the first quarter and was unable to return to the game. The Pittsburgh Steelers went on to beat the Bengals in the final seconds of the game.

Michael Davis (BYU)

Davis had his best game of the season for the Los Angeles Chargers in their blowout win over the Cleveland Browns. He had two tackles in all the other five games combined, but had four tackles in Sunday’s game.

Here are the remaining players who made plays this weekend.
