But if you’re a physics nerd (which is a good thing) with a creative mind, sometimes you get to play with physics in the funnest ways. And, if the wider population is lucky, physics nerds share their fun with us on the internet.
YouTube user Kaplamino, ticks all these boxes. He regularly posts chain-reaction videos that involve dominos and marbles. It’s true, they may not be the prettiest or slickest tricks, but they are full of thoughtful creativity and fun.
This featured video involves a marble run powered by chain reactions. Kaplamino built it into a flat tabletop, and it has everything. There’s magnets, rubber bands, air cannons, springs, catapults, water, and (according to Kaplamino) a lot of luck.
The run is also full of many satisfying marble noises: rolling, thunking, tinking, and even a perfect noise at the end that I won’t ruin by describing it to you.
