Celebration is a big business. The wedding industry in Utah alone is a huge economic engine. Yearly, Utah has an average of 25,000 weddings, which equals millions of dollars in revenues.
Arbor Manor Reception Center is available for many different types of events — from weddings to family gatherings to company parties. There's also anniversaries, birthday celebrations, family parties — even quincineras (kin-sin-yare-uhs). However, weddings are a major focus here. Lindsay has two coordinators on staff to help clients plan the perfect event from start to finish.
Lindsay Condie has been involved with the wedding industry for about eight years .... She discovered how much she enjoyed it when she was an event planner. Two years ago, she made weddings her primary focus when she bought Arbor Manor Reception Center, located at 2888 West 4700 South, in Salt Lake City. The Harvard Business Review recently ranked Utah among the top 10 states nationwide for entrepreneur personalities.
Arbor Manor has many different levels of service, from doing it all, including catering, flowers and coordination, to simply letting the client rent the facility.... Lindsay says it all depends on what the customer's needs are and how they can best fulfill them... And they are conscious of keeping their price point reasonable, with financing options, so more people can use the center...
Arbor Manor Reception Center comes with a vaulted ballroom that can be used for dancing or other major events ... You'll also find a grand staircase, a garden, mountain views and a setup that will fit many different types of events... Lindsay says booking times for Arbor Manor vary, but people usually call anywhere from three to nine months in advance. Weekends, especially in the summer, fill up quickly, so she suggests calling as soon as the event date is set.
