OGDEN — The Mountain Crest Mustangs beat the Herriman Mustangs 52-47 to advance to the 4A State Semifinals.

It was a lackluster 3rd quarter that ultimately doomed Herriman. They only managed four points coming out of the locker room and finished the second half shooting only 28.6% from the field.

Z Arima led Herriman with 16 points and 4 assists while David Maynard had 14 points and three rebounds.

Mountain Crest had three players in double figures. Tyler Crosbie had 15 points, Faimafili Lau'pututau had 14 points and three blocks, and Eddie Hall had 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds.

Mountain Crest will face the winner of Logan and East Friday for the right to play for the state championship on Saturday.
