OGDEN — No. 3 Timpview defeated Sky View 78-58 to advance to the 4A quarterfinals.

The story of the first round of the 4A playoffs was upsets. Just hours after Logan upset the No. 1 Orem Tigers, Sky View used a full court press to open the game to confuse and turnover the Timpview Thunderbirds.

Sky View had 13 steals and forced Timpview into 20 turnovers.

Jalen Moore was spectacular for Sky View leading all scorers with 28 points on 11 for 15 shooting. He filled up the stat sheet with 7 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists and 2 blocks.

Ty Nielsen scored 15 points and Braxton Godderidge dished out 8 assists for the Bobcats.

Timpview was led by Leo Roese and Taylor Roy who chipped in 15 points apiece.

Sky View will play No. 5 Olympus at 11:10 a.m. on Thursday in the 4A quarterfinals.
