A week away from the Cougars' Poinsettia Bowl meeting with San Diego State, James Lark continues to take the majority of the practice snaps at quarterback.

"It will be mostly that way through the week as Riley (Nelson) continues to kinda recover", said head coach Bronco Mendenhall on Wednesday. "(Nelson's) reps could increase and probably will increase as the week goes."

Bronco also said it's unlikely that he'll name a starter before next Thursday's game against the Aztecs.

We've all heard about the first time Ziggy Ansah attempted to put on football pads. Being totally unfamiliar with the game of football, Ziggy put almost every pad on backwards. His good friend and teammate Kyle Van Noy was watching the whole thing. Instead of lending a hand, Kyle took a different approach. "I kinda watched and laughed", Van Noy said. "It was kinda funny to sit back and watch."

With his introduction to football well behind him, Ansah is on the verge of making it big in the NFL. Along with the notoriety of being an NFL player comes a very nice salary. When asked if his family members back in Ghana is aware of how much NFL players make, Ziggy said they weren't. When he was asked if he knew how much players made, he said, "No, I don't." (media laughter followed)

Van Noy's future at BYU is still up in the air. The junior is still undecided on whether to jump to the NFL or return to Provo for his senior season.

"I'm still waiting for my (NFL) evaluation as well as getting through school right now", Van Noy said. "When that gets taken care of, I'll reevaluate my decision when I go home and talk to my parents."
