Bronco Mendenhall said he is very pleased with the latest additions to BYU's future football schedules. On Tuesday, BYU announced that it will play at Michigan in 2015. Today the Cougars announced a home-and-home series with the Virginia Cavaliers. BYU will travel to Charlottesville on August 31, 2013 and will then host Virginia in Provo September 20, 2014.

"Really excited; we've been working on them for a long time, at least the Michigan game," Bronco said. Virginia was a result of Washington State wanting out of the contract. The ACC needs games and we got a nice opportunity there."

The contracted Washington State game in 2013 was supposed to be played in Pullman. Bronco was asked if BYU will ever make that trip. "That's really up to them," Bronco said. "They chose to not want the game, so I don't know if we go back there or not."

Not only is the game a late-start, but the weather is supposed to be chilly. Highs are expected to be in the 20's by kick-off. Coach Mendenhall said he has sympathy for those that are willing to attend the game under those circumstances.

"I think the late start and as cold as it will be, I think the ones that are Cougar Blue deep in their heart, I'll applaud them."

From a player perspective, senior cornerback Preston Hadley said he would prefer not to play in the cold, but you have to play with the cards you're dealt. "It's no lie, it's going to be cold but you still have to go out and play. If it's a snow game, those are one of the games you'll remember."

While defensive end Ziggy Ansah and linebacker Kyle Van Noy are getting the most attention from NFL scouts, senior linebacker Brandon Ogletree is also eyeing a future in the National Football League.

"I've talked to a few scouts and a few agents," Ogletree said. "I'm going to work my tail off and hopefully get a chance. If it doesn't work out then it wasn't in the cards. I realize it's kind of a long-shot; I realize I'm not the prototypical size or anything like that. I'm definitely going to try and see what happens."
