SALT LAKE CITY — What a fun week of football! Week 11 proved to be an entertaining week, with several games impacting the College Football Playoff picture.

Arguably the biggest game was in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, as the Crimson Tide fell to an LSU team that now has four wins over teams that were in the Top 10 when the Tigers beat them. LSU has the resume, the consistency, the likely Heisman Trophy frontrunner, and an undefeated record.

Here’s how my ballot shakes out for Week 12 after six Top 25 teams lost, including two in the Top 10, this past weekend.

Rising: LSU, Minnesota

Sure, Joe Burrows did some amazing things on the field to wield his team to a win over Alabama and likely cement a spot in the playoffs, but Minnesota provided the first upset of the day. The Gophers left no doubt on the field and controlled the game as an underdog to beat Penn State in a 5-point win. The Big Ten got a little more interesting (well, behind Ohio State, of course).

Falling: Alabama, Penn State

Alabama is not accustomed to losing, so it’s unfamiliar territory to drop outside the top five at any point in the season. And although the Crimson Tide lost to a great LSU team, it’s unlikely they’ll qualify for a conference championship; as a result, the program fell a bit in the rankings. Their resume is a little suspect, but they still have a roster with tremendous talent, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

Added: Indiana, Oklahoma State, Texas

Oh hey, Indiana! The Hoosiers had a bye last weekend, but they’ve had a solid season and are one of only a handful of two-loss teams left in the country. Their offense has been doing some great things with a 4-2 conference record, but the real test comes Saturday as the Hoosiers travel to Penn State. Indiana hasn’t been ranked since 1994 when they were ranked No. 25 in a season where they finished 6-5.

Dropped out: Kansas State, San Diego State, Wake Forest

Kansas State went about playing spoiler against Wisconsin a couple weeks ago and then dropped a game to a Texas team that has been ranked for much of the season. The Wildcats are a talented program but haven’t been able to consistently put it together each week.

Teams in consideration: Appalachian State, Louisiana Tech
