SALT LAKE CITY — On Friday, Gavan Bruderer thought he was about to buy a new Jazz jersey to add to his already robust collection. He saw the new design hanging in Dick's Sporting Goods, so he grabbed a handful and made his way to the checkout line. But when he got to the cashier, he was told he'd have to wait.
Why? Well, the uniforms weren't technically on sale yet.
The jerseys had been put up too early. And Bruderer, whose jersey collection is over 200, had stumbled onto some breaking news. He quickly snapped a photo of the jerseys and put them out on Twitter.
Just like that, Utah's "Earned" Nike jerseys were leaked to the world.
Multiple sources have confirmed to KSL.com that the uniforms are the ones the Jazz will wear for their Christmas Day game against Portland.

"I snapped the pic as soon as I saw them," Bruderer said. "I knew they weren’t supposed to be out. I had a handful and they refused to sell them to me."
The jerseys are similar to Utah's gold "Statement" uniform design but in a different color. The fans who have pined for the return of a green uniform will finally get their wish.
The “Earned” jersey is the sixth uniform the Jazz will wear this season and the second new one alongside the purple throwback jersey.
The new uniform is set to go on sale on Dec. 12th, according to sources. That's when Bruderer can finally finish his purchase.
