HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Chris Andritsos belted two homers and knocked in four runs Wednesday as 11th-seeded Texas A&M blanked No. 3 seed Georgia 7-0 in the Southeastern Conference Tournament.
The victory enabled the Aggies (38-19) to remain in the winners' bracket in the double-elimination portion of this tournament. Texas A&M faces No. 7 seed Auburn (39-19), which defeated No. 2 seed Mississippi 9-3, on Thursday.
Georgia (37-18) faces Mississippi (42-15) in an elimination game Thursday.
Andritsos ripped a three-run homer in the seventh inning and a solo shot in the ninth. He also singled and scored in the fourth.
Texas A&M's Asa Lacey (3-1) struck out eight and allowed three hits and three walks in six innings. Cason Sherrod had five strikeouts and one walk in three innings of hitless relief.
Georgia starter C.J. Smith (1-1) struck out six and allowed six hits and two runs in four innings.
