CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Cortez Mitchell scored 20 points and Jordan Jones 18 and Charleston Southern held off Campbell for a 72-68 win on Thursday night.

Chris Clemons' layup with 52 seconds left brought Campbell within 67-65 after a 9-2 run. Justin Jones made a layup and Travis McConico made 1 of 2 foul shots and Charleston Southern (12-15, 7-9 Big South) led by five.

McConico fouled Clemons on his 3-point attempt with seven seconds left to shave the Camels' deficit to 70-68 before Christian Keeling sealed the win with a pair of free throws.

Keeling finished with 16 points with four 3-pointers, grabbed six rebounds and Jones finished 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Charleston Southern now has won four of its last five.

Campbell (15-13, 9-7) got 24 points from Chris Clemons, Andrew Eudy scored 18 and Marcus Burk had 13. Despite 38 percent shooting — including 5 of 25 from distance — Campbell stayed in it by shooting 21 of 24 from the foul line.
