SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Jerrick Harding scored 21 points, Zach Braxton added 19 and Weber State beat Sacramento State 83-73 on Saturday night for its ninth straight win.
The Wildcats (19-7, 12-2 Big Sky Conference) remain in second place in the conference standings behind Montana. Sacramento State (6-21, 3-11) has lost six in a row.
Harding was 9-of-14 shooting and Braxton made 8 of 12 from the field while grabbing nine rebounds. Ryan Richardson added 16 points for Weber State.
Justin Strings scored 27 points to lead Sacramento State. Izayah Mauriohoohoo-Le'Afa chipped in 15 points.
Both teams shot better than 50 percent overall, but Weber State made 11 of 21 from long range compared to the Hornets' 6-of-11 shooting. Sacramento State forced 11 turnovers, but was outrebounded 34-23.
Weber State built a 41-32 halftime lead and the Hornets never threatened in the second half.
